I’m just your average food flogger by day, Business Master’s student by evening – I like to try to sleep at night.
What has truly captured my heart and my attention is the Artisan Food Industry and as yet, that is not available in a postgrad curriculum so for the time being I’ll stick with attempting to be a business smarty pants and eating my cake too.
My favourite pastimes include talking to foodie entrepreneurs about their product, why it’s so amazing, it’s niche, it’s point of difference – why has nothing come about like this before? What’s the story, the provenance and all the other buzz words. If it’s a rainy one and I don’t want to go outside, I’ll peruse instagram for hours.
My aim is to have a place where I can document these chats and try and carve out a little space in this globalising world that celebrates the local, the gastronomic and the artisan. I could bang on about the importance of this for hours, but hey that’s why I’ve set up a blog. I can’t promise ground breaking turns of phrase, but I can articulate the world as I see it through my strange streams of consciousness.
I only hope that you find this entertaining and get pumped about all the small and big dogs out there who are making the food industry a brighter place by churning out some truly beautiful, ethical and tasty products.
